Ageism Is the most widespread form of discrimination in the UK. It’s also the only ‘ism’ that every single one of us can experience. And yet, it is so often overlooked, misunderstood, left out of conversations, policies & agendas, and shrouded in humour and microaggressions.

But ageism can have serious consequences, from negatively affecting mental health and life expectancy, to creating national and global financial burdens. And it’s vital to remember that it’s a form of discrimination and prejudice that can affect us at any age.

So today on global Ageism Awareness Day our founder Jacynth shares 6 simple reasons why it’s so important for us ALL to understand and tackle ageism.

Join us by raising awareness by sharing to help bring it to the forefront and easily explain to others why it’s so important.

Let’s keep pushing for positive change and embrace ageing as the privilege it truly is—not just today, but every day
